Hello everyone,
We are preparing to replace a damaged DAM Gateway through RMA. We have two Gateways in Bridge mode, so we can redirect all traffic to GW2 while we process the audit data stored on GW1.
The problem is that GW1 contains several very large audit policies, some with billions of events. Completing all Archive and Purge jobs could take more than 30 hours, and we want to avoid losing historical audit data.
Has anyone handled a similar Gateway replacement?
We would appreciate recommendations on the best strategy, especially:
- Whether
.aud files or the audit directory can be safely extracted and processed later.
- Whether audit data can be moved to another Gateway to generate the archives.
- Whether the retired Gateway can be started later in an isolated network to complete Archive and Purge jobs.
- The safest sequence to perform Archive Now followed by Purge Now without risking data loss.
Environment:
-Imperva SecureSphere DAM 14.7.1.131
-Two Gateways in HA/Bridge mode.
Any documented best practice or real-world experience would be very helpful.
